Police Corporal Donates 1,000 Exercise Books To Schools In Ogun State.

A Nigerian Police corporal and an alumnus of the Department of Geology Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo state, Ogunsoluju Iseoluwa has donated writing materials to some schools in Ifo local government area of Ogun State. The memorable show of humanitarian service which was received by the pupils, students, guardians and the people of the community at large was tagged “Academic Scholarship: Leaving No Learner Behind”.

The police corporal, Ogunsoluju Iseoluwa noted some children in the community lacked adequate learning materials. He hints that the goal of the donation was to give the children a sense of belonging which will help them to learn better and remain in school. He also said that he is giving back to the community having been a beneficiary of scholarship during his university days.

The donor also said “Reaching down and lifting people up is one of the humane effort we can give to make our society a better place and I believe that there is no better exercise for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up”.

In his remarks, Oba Olalekan Shofela, the Olu of Olomowewe appreciate the donor and pray for more grace to continue giving to the society. Also speaking, the DPO of Agbado Divisional Headquarters, SP Awoniyi Adekunle said “What this officer has done here today is a challenge to all of us including senior and junior officers”.

The DPO emphasized on the need for students to be studious as that is one of the way we can make our society better.

Dignitaries at the event includes; The monarch of Olomowewe town Oba Olalekan Olumade Shofela, the DPO Agbado Divisional Headquarters SP Awoniyi Adekunle, ASP Ikezue Collins, Bishop Clement, Engr. Adeojo Victor who was also the guest speaker, High Chief Apase of Olomowewe town, Community leaders and other well wishers.

Some of the schools in attendance includes; Westfield college, Higher Ground School, Jordan Modern School, Anchor Summit School, Jareb School, Christ the King and many others.

CPL Ogunsoluju Iseoluwa also gave Ten (10) free UTME forms to deserving Students who are carefully selected from 10 different schools.
