Purported Arrest of Ariyo for Fake APC Membership Registration

PRESS STATEMENT

PURPORTED ARREST OF ARIYO FOR FAKE APC MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION

Gentlemen of the press,
The Olusola Oke Campaign Organisation is under the imperative of responding to the purported arrest of one Ariyo in Ondo, Ondo State, by the police, on Wednesday 17th April, 2024, in relation to alleged registration of fake APC members.

We had deliberately restrained ourselves from making any statement on this, to avoid interfering with the Police investigation of the matter, but for the mischievous attempts by detractors of Chief Olusola Oke, SAN, to make a political capital of the matter, through imputation, based on vicarious culpability, using the branded vehicle having his image that was found in the premises of the person alleged.

We like to state, very categorically, that Chief Olusola Oke, SAN, has nothing to do with the alleged fake registration of APC members, as he has been a person of impeccable integrity, as exhibited in the trajectory of his career and politics.

Recall that few days ago, Chief Olusola Oke, SAN, along with some other aspirants, wrote a letter to the national leadership of the APC to insist on the planned revalidation of members, to ensure the integrity of the primary of the party holding on 20th April, 2024. This is where Chief Olusola Oke, SAN, and our campaign organisation stand.

We are aware that there are calculated plans to diminish the towering personality of Chief Olusola Oke, SAN, as the primary election approaches, and the systematically planned video footage was very suggestive of vicious premeditation

As we await the outcome of the investigation by the police, we appeal to members of the public to be wary of people who are committed to the politics of hate and personality destruction.

Thank you.
