Jegede Commiserates with Akungba People over Fatal Auto Crash
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Ondo State, Mr. Eyitayo Jegede, has commiserated with the people of Akungba in Akoko South West Local Government area of Ondo State, over the auto crash that claimed no fewer than 16 lives in the community.
Jegede, in a statement which he personally signed, expressed shock over the incident, saying, “My heart goes out to homes, families and the entire people of Akungba-Akoko community for these irreparable losses.”
A trailer loaded with rice had rammed into a market square at the Ibaka area of Akungba, the host community of Adekunle Ajasin University, killing 16 persons and leaving several others with varying degrees of injury, on Saturday.
” I received the news with shock but pray to the Almighty to repose the souls of the departed ones and console the bereaved homes and the entire Akungba community,
“We pray that God should spare us any such sad incident in our dear State, while we urge for precautions from all road users”, he commiserated.
