The University of Ibadan has maintained its first position in Nigeria in the Ranking Web of Universities otherwise known as Webometrics. The university is 1249 in the world while Covenant University ranks second in Nigeria and 1365 in the world ranking. University of Nigeria, Nsukka ranks third in the country and 1673 in the world.
Webometrics is a ranking system for the world’s universities based on a composite indicator that takes into account both the volume of the Web content (number of web pages and files) and the visibility and impact of these web publications according to the number of external inlinks (site citations) they received.
