Kano condoles with family of late Haruna Getso

The Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, on Tuesday, commiserated with the family of the late Alhaji Haruna Dan’Asabe of Getso town in Gwarzo Local Government Area, Kano, who died a few days ago at the age of 83.

In a statement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Tofa, Yusuf mourned the death of the influential community figure, businessman, and renowned farmer.

He praised the late Getso for his contributions to the development of the Gwarzo community and acknowledged how he inspired and supported many indigenes who excelled in farming and business.

He said, “I pray to Almighty Allah, the most exalted and merciful, to grant the soul of the deceased eternal rest in Jannatul Firdausi and to grant his family the fortitude to bear the loss.”

Getso died last week after an illness and is survived by wives, 15 children, and many grandchildren.
Among his children is Alhaji Kabiru Getso Haruna, the Executive Secretary of the Kano State Scholarship Board.
