AAUA Alumnus appointed as UNIMED Registrar
Mr. Imoleayo E. Adeniran, who was once a student of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo, has been appointed Registrar of the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo.
He stated that he had over sixteen years of relevant experience as a practicing University Administrator, with more than six of those years spent at the managerial level. He mentioned that he joined the university system in March 2008 and had risen through the ranks to become a Principal Assistant Registrar in 2018, and later a Deputy Registrar in 2022. He explained that he held a Master’s Degree in Health Law & Policy from the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo City, Ondo State, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA- Human Resource Management & General Management), and a Diploma in Leadership and Business Management, both from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia, along with a B.Sc. (Honours) in Political Science from Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko.
He added that he was a Fellow of the Institute of Professional Managers and Administrators of Nigeria (IPMA) and a member of the Association of Nigeria Universities Professional Administrators (ANUPA). He noted that he had attended both local and international conferences and workshops. Throughout his career, he said he had the opportunity to work in federal, state, and private universities, which provided him with extensive experience in the administration of universities with different funding models. He also indicated that his experience covered all divisions of the registry and the entire university system, making him a competent professional university administrator with a strong inclination toward excellence.
He expressed his determination to achieve greatness and excellence in all his assignments, emphasizing that his work was virtually error-free and that he required little or no supervision. He concluded by sharing that his hobbies included reading, traveling, and meeting people, while his research interest was focused on the development of Human Resource Management.
