The Olofin of Isheri in Ogun State, Oba Sulaiman Bamgbade, has urged Nigerians, particularly the youths to embrace peace in strengthening the country’s stability.

The monarch also called on all Awori sons to refrain from actions that could disrupt Nigeria’s harmony and progress.

Bamgbade, in a statement on Monday by the Palace Media Office, explained that while Nigerians have the right to protest, it was important for the nation to avoid the repetition of EndSARS.

He said, “Reflecting on the recent past, the memories of the EndSARS movement remain vivid, and the scars of those turbulent days have yet to fully heal. The damage caused by the violence affected many, including the government, and has left an indelible mark on our collective conscience.

“Our claims and grievances are valid and deserve attention, but let us channel our energies toward constructive dialogue and peaceful advocacy.

“We implore all Awori people to give peace a chance and allow the President some time to address our concerns and work toward the betterment of our nation. By maintaining peace and stability, we can create an environment conducive to progress and development.”

He urged Nigerians to unite and collaborate in ensuring that actions contribute positively to the growth and prosperity of Nigeria.
