FIRS official shot dead in Abuja
Gunmen on Friday night reportedly shot dead a middle-aged man, Khalid Bichi, in Maitama, Abuja.
Bichi, according to findings, was an employee of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).
He was reportedly killed around 8: 30 pm while he was out to get food.
Sources said he was shot multiple times on his chest and leg.
He was afterwards rushed to Maitama General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
According to sources, Bichi was known for being active on social media as @Khalid Bichi and connected with influential politicians.
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh when contacted by our correspondent said the police were investigating the matter.
It was gathered he was laid to rest on Saturday afternoon after a funeral prayer at Abuja National Mosque.
