Oke is a Detribalised Supportive Politician – Artisan and Non indigenes Leaders
….I will support the informal sector of the economy, and be fair to all – Oke
Chief Olusola Oke, SAN has sustained his engagements with critical stakeholders and leaders of groups in Ondo State, as he met with select leaders of artisans and non indigenes in the State, at different fora.
Addressing the group leaders, Oke outlined his plans for the state, when chosen as the candidate of the APC in the coming primary, and after being elected governor of Ondo State later in November.
The areas covered in his speeches at the engagements included agricultural revolution, revamped health care, recalibrated education, improved security, supported SMEs, infrastructural and urban development, enhanced transportation, rejigged local government administration and tourism development, among others.
“My government, which shall come to be, by the grace of God, will be fair to all. I am not myopic like others. Nigeria diversity should be an asset, not a liability, as destructive elements are trying to do”.
“There shall be enough space for all with legitimate intentions to thrive in my administration. We all need to cooperate to birth a sustained progressive socio-economic space in Ondo State”.
While charging the people to ignore selfish detractors attempting to diminish him by being realistically supportive to the Nigeria constitutional provisions prohibiting discrimination on the basis of ethnic affiliation by marrying across the Niger, Oke pointed out that those foregrounding an unimportant matter as marrying an Ibo wife are merely trivialising good governance.
“Artisans shall have a good platform for expression in my government, as groups like ACOMORAN will be further socialised for partnership, to contribute to the economic prosperity of Ondo State”.
Oke charged the people at these various interfaces to go back to their different locations to mobilise card-carrying APC members to vote for him in the coming primary of the party, even as all of them that are eligible to vote should ignore all intimidation and support his aspiration as well, with their votes.
Representatives of the groups at the events took turns to assure Oke of their reliable votes in the primary, noting that it would be an opportunity for them to validate his competence, integrity, sense of fairness and inclusion, as well as supportive initiatives, over the years.
