Tax Reform Bills: Northern youths stage solidarity rally for Barau in N/Assembly
Thousands of youths from across the 19 Northern states gathered at the National Assembly in Abuja on Tuesday to show solidarity with deputy president of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, calling him the “Sardauna of our era.”
The peaceful rally, held at the entrance of the National Assembly, saw the youths chanting praises for Barau.
They organised the demonstration to support the Deputy Senate President in the wake of attacks over the Senate’s decision to allow tax reform experts, including the Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Tax Reforms, Mr. Taiwo Oyedele, to present during a plenary session on the Tax Reform Bills.
