The founder of Adamimogo FM Nigeria, Sam Alo, has said that the founder of Afe Babalola University Ado-Ekiti, Afe Babalola, SAN, is a great blessing by the Almighty God to humanity, Africa and Nigeria.

This is as the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Adeyemo Adejugbe, has fixed October 18 as the annual celebration day for Babalola.

Extolling Babalola’s virtues, Alo stated the senior lawyer is one of the greatest Africans to ever live on this earth.

Alo, in a statement on Tuesday signed by his media aide, Deji Ogunbusuyi, described Babalola as a highly influential, great and impactful Nigerian.

The popular cleric also hailed the Ewi of Ado and his wife for giving Babalola a befitting honour by fixing every October 18 of the year as a day set aside to celebrate the living legend.

He said, “Aare Bamofin Afe Babalola is unarguably one of the greatest Africans that are still striding the earthly pedestal like a colossus. This is because he is so influential and impactful that his ever-flowing milk of human kindness has fixed the lives of millions of Nigerians and Africans from all walks of life and backgrounds.

“Aare Babalola is living simply for humanity as everything he does, the ideas he represents and promotes, his entrepreneurship, and his legal practice significantly impact greatly, deeply and positively on the lives of everyone regardless of their backgrounds. The rich, the middle class and particularly the dregs of our societies have been benefitting hugely from every activity of this great African and pride of the Black man’s race.

“He is such a great blessing by the Almighty God to humanity, particularly to Africa and Nigeria. Afe Babalola’s University provides a first-class University education to every young African and also employs thousands of Nigerians and Africans from every background, educated or not.

“While others site their industries outside their home states, Aare Afe Babalola brought his huge investment into his hometown and, with it, gave meaningful life to thousands of Ekiti people, Nigerians and Africans at large.

“This is why we deeply appreciate our respected monarch, the Ewi of Ado, Oba Adeyemo Adejugbe and his loving wife, Olori Eyesorun Bosede Adejugbe, who is a loving mother of all indigenes of Ado-Ekiti, for giving our great Aare Afe Babalola a well-deserved honour of fixing every October 18 of every year as a day set aside to celebrate Aare Babalola. It is a very good decision and warmly received by all of us who are from Ekiti as well as Nigerians and Africans as a whole.

“We also pray for Aare Afe Babalola that the Almighty God shall continue to preserve his life and grant him a more comforting, peaceful, progressive, and prosperous lifetime on this earth.”
