Eid-el-Maulud: Ex-Oyo ALGON chair seeks prayers for economic stability, peace
The former Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, Oyo State chapter, Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye, on Monday, urged Nigerians, especially Muslim faithful to offer special prayers for the peace, progress and economic stability of the country, as they celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammed.
Aleshinloye, in a statement by his media officer, Dipo Olagoke, on Monday, further urged Muslims to use the occasion of the celebration of the birth of Prophet Mohammed to imbibe and promote the virtues of humility, love, peace, harmony and mutual co-existence which the prophet exemplified.
He said, “Let us remember to pray fervently for the economic prosperity of our nation to achieve greater unity and progress among our fellow countrymen and women, irrespective of religion or place of origin, and promote greater development to the nation.”
Aleshinloye also advised them to pray for President Bola Tinubu to successfully steer the country towards a brighter future.
“Maulud Nabiyy is a special period that calls for sober reflections and special prayers to the Almighty Allah for the peace, progress and economic stability of the country”, he added.
