Firm to partner Sweden on mining, solid mineral development
The Chairman of Ubacle Group, Uba Michael has said that he is committed to making sure Nigeria’s economy blossoms.
This was contained in a statement made available to PUNCH Online on Wednesday.
According to Uba, his commitment to the prosperity of the economy is the reason he is contributing his quota.
The statement noted that Uba said this after his meeting with the Swedish Ambassador to Nigeria, Annika Hahn-Englund, held at the Swedish Embassy in Abuja
According to the statement, Uba said, “I had a productive meeting with the Swedish Ambassador, H.E Annika Hahn-Englund. We discussed Ubacle Group’s commitment to collaborating with the Swedish business community to expand the mining industry in Nigeria and enhance trade between Nigeria and Sweden.
“Exciting opportunities lie ahead for mutual growth and partnership.” he said while speaking with newsmen.
“Nigeria is blessed with a lot of mineral resources, some yet to be discovered. These resources are capable of turning the economic fortunes of an oil-dependent Nigeria that is looking for other avenues to generate revenue.”
Similarly, in October 2023, The Nigeria Solid Minerals Development Fund and GeoScan GmbH of Berlin, Germany, on Sunday, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on solid mineral development.
The agreement was formalised during the visit of German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, to Abuja.
Signing the MoU were the CEO, GeoScan GmbH, Oliver Haeggberg and the Executive Secretary and CEO of SMDF, Fatima Shinkafi, representing Nigeria.
