Tinubu consoles Emeka Anyaoku on brother-in-law’s passing
President Bola Tinubu has extended heartfelt condolences to Chief Emeka Anyaoku, former Commonwealth Secretary-General, on the passing of his brother-in-law, Chief Adekunle Olaosebikan Kasunmu.
In a statement on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu also mourned with Kasunmu, Williams, and Coker families over Chief Kasunmu’s death.
The President praised the deceased as a remarkable individual who made significant contributions to family, community, and society.
He fondly recalled the deceased’s late mother, Chief (Mrs.) Elfreda Williams Kasunmu, as an intimate friend of his mother, Alhaja Abibatu Ashabi Mogaji.
President Tinubu also commiserated with the widow, Mrs. Kemi Kasunmu, and the entire family, offering his support during this time of mourning. He prayed for the repose of the soul of the departed.

“The late Chief Kasunmu is the brother of Chief (Mrs.) Olubunmi Anyaoku, the wife of Chief Anyaoku.
“The President extols Chief Kasunmu as a remarkable individual who made significant contributions to family, community, and society.
“President Tinubu fondly recalls that the deceased’s late mother, Chief (Mrs.) Elfreda Williams Kasunmu (a.k.a. Mama Loke), a successful career woman, was an intimate friend of his mother, Alhaja Abibatu Ashabi Mogaji.
“The President also commiserates with the widow of Chief Kasunmu, Mrs. Kemi Kasunmu and the entire family, and assures them of his support in this time of mourning.
“The President prays for the repose of the soul of the departed,” statement reads.
