Nigerian, Agbaminoja, emerges secretary of US based-Waterlight Save Initiative
A United Nations Economic and Social Council-approved Non-Governmental Organisation in the United States, Waterlight Save Initiative, has appointed Ranti Agbaminoja as the Secretary of its Board of Directors.
The organisation announced Agbaminoja’s appointment in a statement made available to PUNCH Online on Saturday.
She is expected to provide strategic direction and foster collaborative efforts within the board and the broader community.
The statement read in part, “Agbaminoja’s appointment as Secretary of the Board of Directors of Waterlight Save Initiative presents an exciting opportunity for the organisation.
“Her leadership is expected to reinvigorate the organisation’s efforts and increase its influence on global water sustainability. With Agbaminoja leading the way, the organisation is well-equipped to tackle the urgent challenges of water scarcity and environmental conservation.
“Agbaminoja’s appointment signals a new beginning for the organisation. Her expertise, vision, and dedication to community development are projected to propel the organisation towards greater success and a more sustainable future for all.

As the new Secretary of the Board of Directors, Agbaminoja said, “I have several key responsibilities that are crucial to the governance and operational efficiency of the organisation. These include Maintaining Records: Ensuring accurate documentation of board meetings, decisions, and organisational records, facilitating Communication: Serving as a liaison between the board members and the organisation’s staff, as well as external stakeholders.
“Strategic Planning: Contributing to the development And implementation of the organisation’s strategic goals and initiatives. Compliance and Governance: Overseeing adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices in non-profit governance.
“My role is pivotal in ensuring that the board’s activities are transparent, efficient, and aligned with the organisation’s mission. My expertise in communication is expected to be instrumental in advancing the organisation’s objectives and enhancing its outreach efforts.”
