Tinubu’s decisions will take Nigeria to next level – Ganduje
The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has assured Nigerians that the decisions, policies and programmes introduced by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will take the country out of the woods to the next level of prosperity and development.
He gave the assurance on Thursday night when he hosted officials the Forum of APC Local Government Chairmen of Nigeria at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
Extolling the leadership virtues of Tinubu, the APC Chairman noted that the President, unlike his predecessors, took bold decisions to give the country the push that will usher her into progress and prosperity.
Addressing the party’s grassroot leaders who came on solidarity visit, Ganduje said: “I assure you that our President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is also a grassroots politician, tested and trusted. He is great, because he is bold enough to take some decisions which the previous administrations could not take and very soon, you will start seeing the positive effects of the reforms that he’s introducing.
“Our refineries will soon be producing abundant fuel. It is all over the world now that the narrative is changing about the use of petrol, CNG vehicles will soon be on ground where transportation will be cheaper.
On party administration, Ganduje intimated the LG Chairmen of efforts of the National Working Committee (NWC) in repositioning the party to function as the governing party in the country.
He said: “When we came in, we introduced some measures which we informed members, especially the governors of APC through their forum and also to governors who are in charge of the states that don’t have APC governors.
“We requested that all our party offices right from ward level, local government level, state level, zonal level, all our offices to be physically habitable and to be operational. In other words, we expect party activities to be taking place in those offices. That shows that the party is alive, it’s not only during elections that we want our party to be active, we want it to be active throughout because we are an institution, we are political parties and the greatest party in Africa.”
He commended the grassroot leaders for their commitment towards the development of the party.
According to Ganduje: “We know how you are bearing the demands of the party followers, especially during election times, especially during primaries, we know how difficult it is for you. So we regard you as our foot soldiers and of course, we appreciate you.”
