Perhaps, political observers in Ondo State and elsewhere across are yet to find out that Olusola Alexander Oke SAN popularity is latently getting greener as the 2024 gubernatorial election inch nearer. With every sunrise, his political image becomes better defined. What is obvious is that as his political relevance continues to increase, he will play significant roles in Ondo State and Nigeria’s future election.
But this is not surprising for anyone who knows the political antecedents of Olusola Alexander Oke SAN, he is a man of conviction who is politically calculative and deliberately patient. If he sets out a cause, no amount of drudgery and back toil will have him get out of the trenches. Rather, he remain determined and patient enough to fight to finish and this is where his political strength lies.
Elections of 1992, 2003, 2007, 2012, 2015, 2016, 2019& 2023 which were the most significant in his political annals, Olusola Alexander Oke SAN deployed all of his fire ???? power to fight for what he believed were his best political option at the time.
He handled some victory and failure in such a manner that they all ended up as huge success and today, He is standing tall at the top of the ladder of Ondo State politics. Kin observers of political development in the sunshine ⛅ state can easily notice that the dynamism with which he plays politics has made it possible for him to be one of the main key political actors in the state. He has one of the strongest political wiring in Ondo State today.
Over the years, he supported almost who came across him in the pursuit of livelihood. Thus, Olusola Alexander Oke SAN has helped many developed wings and can now fly. The likes of Hon. Donald Ojogo, Hon. Gboyega Adefarati, Dr. Banji Ajaka, Hon. Chris Ayebusiwa, Hon. Coker Malachi, Hon. Gbenga Edema and several others not mentioned here.
Therefore the All Progressive Congress (APC), both in Ondo and at the national level have in Olusola Alexander Oke SAN an untapped political resource, which if properly harnessed will give desired results.
As the 2024 APC gubernatorial primaries election draw closer, the party needs to involve political jaggernauts in the state to support him so that it will not end up like the hausa proverbial chicken ???? that slept all night on the bag of it’s feeds with empty stomach because of ignorance.
Let us join hands ✋ together and make a difference for the good of our state. Being a party flag bearer is one part of the long journey to Alagbaka but the contestant that eventually gets to the seat of the power would be determined by the cumulative vote tally, strong grassroot support. The candidate’s key messages, the party’s manifesto and the voting pattern in the state are critical in the political equation that ensures victory.
With our myriad of problems confronting us, winning and formidable flag-bearer with strong grassroot appeal is needed most this time around.
To take a line from Britain’s Winston Churchill, we have given him the tools, Let him finish the job. If there be any resounding answer to our quest, if anyone be bold enough to say ‘here I am’, then perhaps we have found our liberator for him we shall send.
