We’ll Restore Ondo’s Industrial Status, Run People-Centric Govt, Oke Assures
Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and forefront gubernatorial aspirant in Ondo State, Chief Olusola Oke, SAN, has informed the people of Ondo State of his resolve to restore the State to an industrial haven that it used to be, run a people-centric government, if elected.
Chief Oke made the remark, Thursday, during his inaugural interaction with leaders and members of the party in Akoko North-West, held at Shekoni Memorial Events Centre Oke-Agbe, as part of mobilisation toward the party’s primary election.
In his words: “Ondo State was better off when her industries in the various parts of the State were functional. The industries are now moribund or dead in the outright. It’s our plan to run a government that would restore Ondo State to her original industrial status and make people the center of governance.
Oke, who promised to revive agriculture, build rural roads, provide resources for mechanised farming and assured the people of his plan to revolutionise farming, promised to emplace great legacies in the State, saying: “You can trust that I will to serve you committedly.”
Earlier, APC chairman for Akoko North-West, Kehinde Obanla, said Oke has paid his dues in politics and implored party members and executives to support him so that he can win the party’s ticket and the November inter-party gubernatorial election.
