Tinubu constitutes governing council for content development board


President Bola Tinubu on Thursday approved the appointment of nine persons to serve on the Governing Council and Management team of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board.

The appointment conforms with “Sections 71(1), 72, and 73 of the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development Act (2010),” Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, said in a statement titled ‘President Tinubu appoints NCDMB governing council and management team.’

The nine persons include the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Heineken Lokpobiri as Chairman and Felix Ogbe as Executive Secretary.

Others are: the Executive Vice President Upstream, Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, Oritsemyiwa Eyesan, Bekearedebo Warrens, Nicolas Odinuwe, Raphael Samuel, Sadiq Abubakar and Olorundare Thomas.

Tinubu said he expects the council to discharge their duties with his resolve to enhance indigenous industry participation in the energy sector.

He said this is part of his Renewed Hope Agenda’s mandate to achieve 70 per cent indigenous content and participation in the nation’s energy industry during his administration.
