Agbaka Afolabi Obasuyi’s humility is a muli facial because, he can be liken to the young, the old, the rich and the poor alike.The true grit of a good leader is not how they perform during good times, but how they roll up their sleeves to help even in their very difficult time. My people of Ondo Central, I implore you to vote wisely to enable you choose a son that truly have you at heart. My people, Agbaka Afolabi Obasuyi is not a prodigal son who violated the trust betrothed on him. Experiences has shown that, those of them you have used before now only go to represent themselves to detriment of your welfare. These people come back home under tight security denying you any opportunity to interface with them. Most at times, they deceive people with peanuts and distribute okadas or other equipments in a selective and bias manner. May I at this junction submit to you the reason behind my intention to represent you at the National Assembly come 2023.I am well educated and have over time understood the plight of our people. l have decided to leverage on my exposure and political and business connection to bring back home the followings:1. Establish a constituency office with eligible staffs ready to attend to my constituents when am in Abuja. I will ensure a virtual meeting to listen to you directly and give my staff instructions on your matter as the case may be. Resources will be on ground to cater for issues that requires urgency.2. I will establish a foundation that will take care of the less privileged and downtrodden. I will take your welfare so serious and advise the Governor from time to time as the need arises. I will put on the armor of making sure that the dividends of democracy that belongs to you gets to you appropriately.3. Education will continue to be my greatest priority. Advocacy programs will be in place to ensure compulsory enrollment of our wards into the primary and Secondary Schools system. I will work with the Federal and state educational apparatus to ensure quality educational pursuit.4. Agriculture is very vital, if we must totally eradicate poverty. We have enough land in Ondo Central, we must leverage on this God’s gift natural resources to first and foremost make food available to us. I will liase with the appropriate quarters to ensure farming tools (Mechanised) are made available for farm expansion. Scarcity of fertilizer will be a thing of the past because of the fact that I have a direct relationship with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development at the Abuja Headquarters. I will queue into the International Food Program Research Institute to ensure we benefit from donor agencies worldwide. I will ensure healthy farming policies by making proposals to the state legislators for onward implementation by the state government. I will ensure we leverage on Fadama policies by clustering ourselves into cooperative society to access Agricultural facilities in form of incentives and loans. I will ensure training and re-training of our farmers through various established Agricultural Institute in Nigeria. I will collaborate with the Agricultural Agencies responsible for supply of insecticides to eradicate pest that are eating up our crops thereby improving our produce. I will ensure we benefit from construction and rehabilitation of feeder roads to enable us take our produce to the market. I will equally leverage on my international relationship to see how I can bring foreign investors in farming to our local community to boost our Agricultural activities.This can only be achieved through your cooperation and readiness to partnership with my goals. I will ensure we improve on rice production to enable us process our local rice and brand them. I will ensure we have access machine that can de-stone our rice before packaging. I will ensure we have a robust supply chain to minimize the danger of our local farmers taking product to market themselves. The buyers will come directly to meet you at the farm for purchase. I will collaborate with the commodity exchange to ensure we have silos in our Constituency. This will boost the production of cash crops that could be imported directly from Ondo State. I will ensure we improve and bring back the Cocoa plantation by calling on investors to come and establish Cocoa base beverages company in our land.5.Health is wealth and money. Health is a very important variable to the human race. I will put more emphasis on ensuring that we have acces to good health facilities. I will liase with the state government and advise on issues bordering on our wellness. Government Hospitals will be renovated through the PPP policies. This implies that, there would be a public-private- partnership in the health sector. Government hospitals can be partially privatised by allowing partnership from the private sector to boost effectiveness. I will advise the state government on the need to make health policies that would better the lots of our people. I will ensure our people have equal access to the health system at subsidised rates. I will ensure a roundtable discussion with the stakeholders in the health sector to see how we can make health services affordable and effective. I will go extra miles to partner with the Ministry of Health to see how we can benefit from Federal government health policies. I will equally ensure we look out for international foreign health investors and donors to augment any existing gaps in our health system. I will ensure I work with NACA to curtail the spread of HIV/AIDS and ensure adequate free testing and treatment in our Senatorial District. I will equally work with the Center for Diesease control to avert the spread of communicable dieseases. I will encourage rehabilitation of our primary health care centers to bring treatment close to our people. I will strive to be in the Health Committee of the Senate to enable me participate as a stakeholder in the Health Industry. I will ensure we reduce mortality rate to its bearest minimum by ensuring a rapid response type of health system/ facilities in our zone.(Mobile hospitals).6.industry. My very good people of Ondo Central Senatorial District, permit me to crave your indulgence that industry is a key and gateway to civilization. Industries will bring civilization to our doorstep. Industries will boost our economic activities. I will ensure i bring investors both locally and internationally. We have massive lands that can be leased to investors for the purpose of establishment of various Industry in our state and our zone precisely. This will bring in robust financial resources that would positively affect our livelihood. The state will benefit from increased taxation thereby reducing the paucity of funds in the state treasury. My people, we need to deviate from over-dependence on only the federal allocation for survival. Take for instance, once upon a time, lagos state was denied statutory allocation but survived that menace for number of years because of the fact that the state is an industrial area. Taxes from mega industries can augumet for shortages from state allocation either as a result of low derivation from the dwindling oil sector. My people, we need to put all hands on deck to support policies that will bring industries to our locality. Ondo State is very close to Lagos where most of economic activities are on top gear. We can leverage on the overflow of activities in lagos by extension, bring some of these multi nationals to our Constituency. This can only be achieved through voting for a son that can liaise with both state and federal government and other international experts. My people, there is an adage in hausa land for instance that said, a prince cannot missed in the middle of the town. I have a name built over time that I pray sincerely not to be damaged. I have an integrity to protect. I am a stakeholder in Ondo State as a son of the soil. I am a holder of a traditional title and a flag that was bestowed upon me by nature which I will never want to be bastardized. I am looking forward an opportunity to better the lives of my people. We have no any other time than now to try me. Vote wisely and don’t be carried away by bananas that its peel will take you off balance in the near Future. Don’t trade your Children’s future for any peanuts that cannot stand the test of time. Don’t vote and live to regret for another four years of your life. My people, as you are all aware, i am not a hungry man and so are you all not looking for food. My great people of Ondo Central Senatorial District, I have never been a lazy son in all my life. I have traveled to over 35 nations of the world in search of greener pasture, speak various international languages, I have the experience because I have seen it all from experiences gathered over my sojourn in those foreign nations. I sincerely understand where and why we are missing it. I can make a difference because I am opportuned to clearly understand that adage of ” he who wears the shoes knows where it hurts” My people, you can build your confidence in your son, brother, friend and father Agbaka Afolabi Obasuyi and be rest assured that he can deliver. I will ensure I belong to Senate Committee on Water Resources. This is basically to enable me be part of the decision makers in the water resources agency. Boreholes will be dug in various communities to ensure we have access to potable water supply free of water borne dieseases. We cannot afford to loose our lives through water borne dieseases. I will ensure treatment plant in all major boreholes to reduce the hardness nature of earth water free of some mineral trace elements that might be hazardous to our health. I will ensure all boreholes are solar powered thereby reducing plight associated with stress of pumping water manually as it is in some quarters in Nigeria. I will ensure we benefit from aquatic economic resources. I will embark on roundtable discussion with the Ministry of water resources to see how we can bring succour to our people using our water resources as a gateway to economic development.8. Ensure the security of life and property of my constituents by partnering with the State and Federal security networks.
