Nigerian Army Commander Colonel DC Bako had been killed by dreaded Boko Haram Terrorists in Borno State
Colonel Bako who the Commander of Sector 2, Operation Lafiya Dole, the team combating terrorists in the North-East, lost his life on Monday, 21st September, 2020 after terrorists ambushed him while leading a patrol to clear Boko Haram insurgents from Sabon Gari – Wajiroko Axis near Damboa.
Spokesman for operation Lafiya Dole, Ado Isa confirmed the sad development and revealed that the colonel died in a military hospital in Maimalari cantonment where he was receiving treatment after the ambush.
According to Ado Isa, under Bako’s leadership, the troops cleared the ambush resulting to the killing of scores of terrorists and recovery of weapons and equipment.
