Ondo State Owned Tertiary Institutions Suspend The 14-Day Warning Strike

SUSPENSION OF 14-DAY WARNING STRIKE.

The Joint Action Committee (JAC) of NAAT, NASU, SSANIP and SSANU of Ondo State Owned Tertiary Institutions hereby suspend the 14-Day Warning Strike embarked on with effect from Tuesday, 29th December, 2020. This warning strike has yielded some positive results as the State Government for the first time in history released three months subventions to the State Owned Tertiary Institutions in the last two weeks.

Although, the State Government has not addressed our major demands which include, increments in the monthly subvention to Tertiary Institutions; implementation of the new minimum wage to our members and prompt release of subventions to the institutions. The State Government as at today is still owing the State Owned Tertiary Institutions over four months subventions.

We want to thank our esteemed members across the state for their support, loyalty and solidarity in enforcing the warning strike. We shall continue to fight for your welfare at all times, therefore, await further directive if the need arises.

Wishing you all a happy new year 2021 in advance.

Thank you.

Signed

Comrade Tayo Ogungbeni (Chairman, JAC, ODSTI)

Signed

Comrade Peter Akindehinde (Secretary, JAC, ODSTI).
